Head to The Stand in Branford on Friday June 23 at 5:30 p.m. and learn how the Branford Microfund helps residents in need. Enjoy your dinner or drinks at this special location, listen to some great live music from 7-10pm, donate and win raffle prizes, and help raise money to support the Microfund’s interest-free loan program.
The Branford Microfund is a local non-profit organization run by Branford volunteers to help its neighbors during difficult times. It provides interest free loans of up to $3,000 to Branford residents to help lighten immediate financial burdens. Repayment is expected over a maximum of 30 months.
As the loan committee works with applicants to review the financial information on their application, they offer suggestions and tips that empower applicants to stabilize their finances, and often refer clients to other community partners who can provide additional basic needs assistance.
The Stand (196 S Montowese Street), is a Branford icon, where the community comes together to enjoy expertly prepared food on a picturesque property. They strive to be a place where memories are created, and they believe the three most important things are: food, community, and music.
The event is free and open to the public. Dinner and drinks are not included. For more information about BMF, to make a donation, or to apply for assistance, please visit www.branfordmicrofund.org
